Privacy

There are no accounts and no advertising trackers. What the tools remember stays in your own browser, and the site never sends it anywhere.

Kept in your browser only

These items live in your browser’s own storage on this device. Clearing the site’s data in your browser removes all of them; nothing is copied to our server, so there is nothing for us to delete.

WhatWhy
Your bike and your last visitThe home page shows your bike and what changed since you were last here (“Save as my bike”).
My Bike: bikes, hour meters, jobs done and your logSo the service list knows what you have done. You can save a backup file and restore it yourself.
Service tool readingsThe hour meter and last service you typed, so the tool opens where you left it. “Clear saved numbers” removes them.
Your setup logThe settings you record on the setup sheet.
The state you last readSo law and riding pages, and the home page, can tell you when that state’s page changed.
Workshop view on or offSo bike pages open in the compact view you last chose.
Recall notices you have openedSo a notice you have read shows more quietly next time.
Roost Run best timeThe hidden game’s best run. A few other small settings from the hidden extras last only until you close the tab.
Offline copies of pagesPages you have opened (at most 60) and the tools’ data, so they still open without a signal at the track. Each new release replaces them.

An inseam you type into the seat height finder or the kids’ side by side is used on the page and never stored.

Outside services a page talks to

Analytics. The site counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which in Cloudflare’s words “does not use any client-side state, such as cookies or localStorage” and does not “fingerprint” individuals. We see totals only, such as pages viewed, countries, browser types and referring sites. There are no advertising trackers.

Affiliate links. Some pages carry affiliate links to retailers. We set no cookie for them; the retailer may set its own once you follow a link to its site, under its own privacy policy. Every page with such links says so on that page. See the affiliate disclosure.

Product photos. Pages that show product cards (bike pages, the shop, gear guides and some tool and riding pages) load the photos from MotoSport’s image server (content.motosport.com) as you scroll to them. Like any image request, that tells their server your IP address and browser; we send no referring page with it and no cookie of ours.

Email. The site has no sign-up form and collects no email addresses through the site. If we open a newsletter, this page will name the service that stores addresses before the first sign-up. If you email us, we keep that conversation only to answer it.

Links to other sites. Makers’ documents, state agencies and retailers are on their own sites, under their own privacy policies, once you follow a link.

Social media. MotoXSports posts on social networks such as X. Those posts link back here and carry no tracking codes; if you follow or reply to us there, that network’s own privacy policy applies.
